This crisp, grassy Sauvignon Blanc is named after the coach house ("koetshuis" in Afrikaans) where wagons were kept on the farm in days gone by. Estate fruit from Durbanville is blended with fruit from Darling to create a fresh wine with capsicum, asparagus, and gooseberry flavours.

The Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc grapes are handled differently in the vineyards as well as in the cellar to the De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc grapes in order to ensure a bigger and a bolder wine. It is picked riper, receives longer skin contact, longer cold settling, and extended lees contact after fermentation with batonage on frequent intervals.
